Life is so complex, the fact that it exists is mind-blowing. What keeps it alive, the whole idea of it all- its amazing. What gives us drive or the motivation to do something.
As a student in high school, you always complain about school and talk about how boring school is and then when the holidays come up the feeling of relief shocks you, but for me its different. School is amazing, yes there are times when it is exhausting to get up at 6:00am every morning and then take a bus for an hour before and after school. However I think of it as discipline. To me school is an opportunity to succeed at an extreme rate, it decides your university, your career, your future. It helps to have teachers who support and improve the knowledge you possess. Spending all of lunch with your best friends makes it all worth the while. It seems that when the holidays come, laziness kicks in. I mean it is nice to have a break for a week or two, but then the compulsory discipline disappears.
Many people would see it the other way around. However I do find the opportunity during holiday breaks to reward myself with achievements. For example I recently scored a 30/30 on my learners test and am now driving. Its amazing how life is so defined. Humans are born, learn to walk, talk and go to school. They learn to drive, get a job, meet the love of their life, get married, have kids and eventually retire.
Some people make plans about the different things they want to accomplish in their life, but for some reason having lots of money seems to be near the top of the list for most people. Money is only a value, but a representation of wealth and it is only human nature to want to be the best. Success and riches are great, but for me its the people I meet that change my life. Girls, boys, men, women, children, tourists and so on, but why. Why people.
People are unique, they all have their own story that no one else will ever understand. People are creative, they have needs and wants. People have voices that need to be heard. And people have dreams that might not be lived. They can build up your personality or tear it down. It could be the person you have secret feeling for, that never recognizes you or it could a person the you really dislike. Either way, the unexplained emotions humans have dicide our actions based on our character.
When you think about it, why do people exist. Is it to dominated the world, to reproduce and die or to help the other creatures survive? We don’t know and I don’t know if we will ever find the answer. But like every other mammal on the earth, we are here to continue our species, to ensure our survival, to reproduce. Whether we know it or not, we are searching for our true love. If we find a mate we die happy with a family in our hearts, if not we question our existence. The milestones of life makes us question who we are and maybe that’s a good thing.

Today is January 9, 2011 Sunday afternoon and the swell has really picked up as has the storms intensity here on the Gold Coast of Australia.
I am thinking of getting a Mt Woodgie surfboard for Burleigh heads and beyond. I tend to like big messy days as there are next to no surfers out and its just alot of fun. So I like a bit of foam under my chest and less forward rocker. I also like channels even though they perform best in glass like conditions.
Anybody selling their Woodgie surfboard?
